في محافظة حجة اليمنية تزويج طفلة في العاشرة من عمرها بالمقايضة

طالبت منظمة (SEYAJ) لحماية الطفولة من محافظ محافظة حجة سرعة التوجيه بإيقاف زواج الطفلة "رحمانة علي مبخوت الشايب 10 سنوات" من مديرية وضرة والتي قام والدها بمقايضتها مقابل تزويج شقيقها من فتاة أخرى.
وقالت (SEYAJ) أن أمين عقود الزواج في المنطقة رفض العقد بها لصغر سنها فقامت الأسرة بالذهاب إلى مندوب عقود زواج آخر من خارج المنطقة وعقدت بها.
وادانت المنظمة في بيان صادر عنها هذا العمل في حق طفلة بريئة معتبرة اياه انتهاكاً لحقها في الحياة والأمان والتعليم والصحة داعية المحافظ إلى إبطال عقد الزواج بموجب القانون و إيقاف زفاف الطفلة المذكورة وأخذ تعهد من والدها وسحب الثقة من الشخص الذي قام بعقد الزواج الكارثي هذا وتطبيق القانون على كل من كان له دور سلبي في هذا الزواج.

SEYAJ Organization for childhood protection Calls upon the Governor of Hajjah province and the Director of the Directorate of Wadhrah to quickly act and stop marriage of ten years old child.
Seyaj has just recognized from its sources in the region that the father of a girl child named "Rahmanah Ali Mabkhout Al Shayef - 10 years old," traded her to marry her brother from another girl.
Also Seyaj acknowledged that the officer of marriage contract refused to conduct the marriage contract because of her very small age so the girl's father went to another contracts officer from outside the region, and conduct her marriage.
Seyaj as it condemns such action against the innocent child and considers it a violation of her right to life, safety, health and education, it calls upon officials of Hajjah province and the Directorate of "Wadhrah" to annul this marriage under the law and immediately stop the wedding of innocent girl as well as stop the person who had conducted the marriage contract and apply the low on Each one has had a negative role in this marriage.
It also calls on the religious scholars, Imams and all influential bodies in the community to do their humanitarian duty and aware people of damages of such marriage for young girls.
In addition, Seyaj calls upon all various civil society organizations and the media to raise awareness of the danger of early marriage especially in rural areas with high rates of poverty and illiteracy.
